What does 'Energy In' mean anyway?
This is really easy – ‘Energy In’ is all the food and drink that you take into your body. Energy is a necessity for us to lead a healthy life and we get energy through ‘calories’ in food.
Here’s a secret you might not know... All food has calories. Even lettuce has them – though not very many. Yes, believe it or not, CALORIES ARE NOT BAD! In fact, we couldn’t live without them!
The key is to only eat as many calories as you will use. Athletes monitor their calorie intake against the amount of exercise they do every day.
