  • First sporting success? Winning the Scottish Girls Championship in 1996

     Finest sporting moment? Winning my first professional tournament in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, in 2007

     Your tip for the top: Never give up!

     First international / ‘big time’ call-up: Representing GB&I at the Curtis Cup in 2002

     How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? It is an honour and one of the best feelings I have ever experienced. 

     How and why did you get involved in your sport? I was always interested in sports growing up, and was fairly good at them.  I really like golf because it’s a fabulous balance of skill and mental toughness. 

    What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? I really got a kick out of the Ryder Cup last year (2010) when Europe beat the Americans.  It is one of my goals to be part of the Solheim Cup team (Women’s equivalent to Ryder Cup) and enjoy similar success.

     

  • Three words that describe you: Competitive, friendly and hard-working.

    Who would you most like to meet? A cutting edge quantum physicist!

    What is your most prized possession? My family and friends

    Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? No one person – there are many.

    Any family connections to sport? My brother and Dad played golf and that’s really how I got started.

    Who has been your toughest opponent and why? Me! Sometimes the only person holding you back is yourself.

    What is your biggest passion away from sport? Learning and knowledge, from everything and everywhere.

    Favourite sport(s) other than your own? I can appreciate all sports and sportspeople. I understand the efforts and sacrifices that people make in order to pursue their dreams. 

    Top tips to relax?  I like reading, working out and playing other sports.

    What is your ultimate ambition? To win a Major and play in the Solheim Cup.

    Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?  Alive and kicking, making goals and chasing them!
