Your tip for the top: no matter how many times you get knocked down, get back up and try again – train hard, play harder.

First international / ‘big time’ call-up: First GB cap (Handball) – vs. Turkey

How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? Proud, Excited and ready to give my all to win/be the best

How and why did you get involved in your sport? I have been involved with sport for as long as I can remember. My Dad used to ‘time me running to the shop’ or ‘race me to the car’, this was the start of it – I always wanted to win or beat my previous time.

As I got older I got involved with local sports clubs in the sports that I enjoyed (rugby & basketball) and have been blessed with the success that has followed.

What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? I have had a few, but nothing was more impressive than seeing Usain Bolt break the 100m record, the 200m record and (as part of the Jamaican team) break the 400m relay record at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My dad

Who has been your toughest opponent and why? England. Everything gets taken up a level playing the 'auld enemy' - the intensity, the aggression and the will of both teams to win and be the best.

Top tips to relax? Watching TV, playing Xbox or going to the Cinema

What is your ultimate ambition? To be at the London 2012 Olympics

Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?  I hope to be teaching in a Primary or Secondary school as a PE teacher or coaching at the highest level.
