    Finest sporting moment? Bronze medal European Under 23 Championships and set a PB in the final (2.00.65)

    First international / ‘big time’ call-up: World Youth Championships 2007

    How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? Extremely proud and fortunate to be able to represent my country! Especially when representing Scotland as we are a very patriotic nation!

    How and why did you get involved in your sport? Both my parents were athletes and I remember when they used to take my older sister down to the track they took me to gymnastics instead as I was ‘too young’ to do athletics. I didn’t last long at the gymnastics and after pestering my parents I was allowed to go to Athletics with my sister!

    What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? Kelly Holmes double gold at the Athens Olympics 2004. Watching videos of my dad’s races. When Rangers are victorious over Celtic in an old firm game!                                           

    Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My parents and my coaches (past - Liz McColgan, Tommy Boyle. Current – Dave Sunderland)

    Any family connections to sport? Dad – Moscow Olympics 1980 4x100, European silver medallist 200m 1982, Commonwealth Games gold medallist 1978 4x100, Commonwealth Games 1982 3 bronze – 100, 200, 4x100; Mum – represented GB at 800m and Scotland at 1982 Commonwealth Games; Sister – Scottish International sprinter
