    Honours: Previous member of British judo team attending European and world championships.  Won medals at national and international tournaments all over the world including British Open, USA Open, Finish Open, German Open, Canadian open and Commonwealth Games bronze medal. In Freestyle wrestling I have also competed throughout the world winning medals in Sardinia, Austria and commonwealth championship bronze medals.

    First international / ‘big time’ call-up: Judo...European championships representing GBR in 2005

    How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? Extremely proud and a desire to win. 

    How and why did you get involved in your sport? I visited my local community centre and liked the look of Judo and so thought I will give it a go, I loved it so decided to stick at it.  With Freestyle wrestling, the opportunity came up to join the team as they were putting a team together in preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.  I was willing to train and learn a new sport to qualify for those games. I did so and qualified and represented Scotland in the 2010 Delhi Games.

    What is your favourite moment in the history of sport?  My sister Fiona winning a bronze medal at the 2002 Commonwealth games in Manchester.                                                                                                                                                                               

    Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My twin sister Fiona

    Any family connections to sport? My sister Fiona also represented Great Britain in Judo and Freestyle wrestling

    Who has been your toughest opponent and why? My sister Fiona, Physically and mentally challenging.

    Who would you most like to meet? Usain Bolt

    What is your most prized possession? My dog Milly

    What is your biggest passion away from sport? I love walking the dog, great for switching off.  Love being outdoors, cycling, running and hillwalking.  Also great to get back to my hometown of Campbeltown.

    Favourite sport(s) other than your own? Running

    Top tips to relax? Walking the dog.

    What is your ultimate ambition? To complete an Ironman triathlon.

    Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time? Coaching a successful Judo/wrestling team
