    First sporting success? Winning the World Cup qualifying tournament in Ireland in 2005.

    Finest sporting moment? Being the first ever player, in the history of the game, to bowl 2 maiden overs (where the batting team score no runs) in a Twenty20 international.

    Your tip for the top: If you want to be successful in sport, know that it is going to be hard work to get to the top, but know that the work becomes even harder to stay there.

    First international / ‘big time’ call-up:  In 2004 I was selected to play my first game for Scotland and received the man-of-match award on debut.

    How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? It is the proudest feeling you can imagine. The feeling of pride and satisfaction that you are playing for that thistle on your chest of incredible!

    How and why did you get involved in your sport? I started playing from a very young age and have always played the sport. My dream, when I was growing up, was to become a professional cricketer and play in a World Cup… I have achieved both!

    What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? The whole of the 2005 Ashes series between England and Australia.                                                                     

    Any family connections to sport? No

    Who has been your toughest opponent and why? Ireland. We have always had great games against them. Both teams are very passionate and many games have gone to the final ball.

    Who would you most like to meet? Tiger Woods

    What is your most prized possession? Signed memorabilia from great players I have played against……and my fishing rod!

    Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My family!

    What is your biggest passion away from sport? Fishing and Golf!

    Top tips to relax? Spend a day fishing….

    What is your ultimate ambition? To be the best I can be in my sport and to support young stars of the future.

    Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time? Having my own successful business.
