    Education: BA Business Studies – Marketing and Business Law. University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.

  • First sporting success? Winning a tournament with my primary school girls’ football team.

    Finest sporting moment? Winning the Girls British Open Amateur Championship in 2001.

    Your tip for the top: Things don’t always go the way you would like them to so always saty positive, work hard and most importantly believe in yourself.

    First international / ‘big time’ call-up: I first represented Scotland at the Girls Home Internationals in 2001.

    How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? Proud to have the opportunity to represent my country and knowing that my hard work has paid off.

    How and why did you get involved in your sport? I love all sports, I have had some amazing experiences from sport which include meeting some great people and travelling all over the world. I love my job and I really appreciate that I have the opportunity to do something I love so much for a living.

    What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? I get really inspired by watching athletes achieve their goals. Sir Steve Redgrave winning 5 gold medals will always stick out in my head as a great moment in sport.                                                                            

    Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My coach Ian Rae and my parents.

    Any family connections to sport? None

    Who has been your toughest opponent and why? My toughest opponent over the last couple of years has been myself, sometimes I can be too hard on myself because I have very high expectations of myself and my golf. Recently I haven’t played very well and have lost some confidence so I am now working hard to get that confidence back and my results are improving.

    Who would you most like to meet? Right now I would like to meet Luke Donald, he is the current world number 1 in golf. There are a lot of things I would like to ask him about his golf.

    What is your most prized possession? My blackberry

     

    What is your biggest passion away from sport? Spending time with my family and friends.

    Favourite sport(s) other than your own? Football

    Top tips to relax? When I am at a tournament I like to get away from the golf course and see some sights in the area I am in. This helps me switch off from golf for a while and is really important.

    What is your ultimate ambition? I would love to win on the LET and play on the European Solheim Cup team.

    Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time? Hopefully I will be competing on both the LET and the LPGA and winning tournaments.
