First sporting success? Winning the league, Scottish cup and Melrose sevens with Gala in 1999
Finest sporting moment? Playing in three rugby world cups.
Your tip for the top: Practice harder than everyone else, work harder than everyone else.
First Scottish/GB selection: My first cap was in the Rugby world cup in 1999, against Spain.
How do you feel when you represent Scotland/GB? Proud and a sense of responsibility to deliver a good performance.
How and why did you get involved in your sport? I’ve played Rugby since I was around 6 or 7 and started mainly because my brother played, then I played in School.
Finest sporting moment in history? Too many to choose but for some reason watching Scotland open the France 98 world cup v Brazil sticks in my mind,,,,if only we’d won.
Biggest influence? Family, I’ve always been very well supported.
Any family connections to sport? My Brother was a successful international age group rugby player, my uncle played rugby for Scotland.
Toughest opponent? New Zealand’s Jonah Lomu.

Who would you most like to meet? Roger Federer, I admire his ability and his concentration.
Most prized possession? The Scottish match jersey I wore when I became the record cap holder.

Favourite sport other than your own? Football
Top tips to relax? Never allow yourself to think about your job on your days off. Switch off completely.
Ultimate ambition: Achieve every record I can in my sport.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time? Hopefully developing sporting talent in Scotland.
