First sporting success? Edinburgh District cross country champion in Primary 7 ( aged 11).
Finest sporting moment? My first home international against New-Zealand at a packed Murrayfield.

First international / ‘big time’ call-up: My first Scotland cap was against Argentina, in Argentina (June 2008)
How do you feel when you know you are representing your team / country? Very proud and determined to perform well
How and why did you get involved in your sport? My older brother started playing and I thought it looked like fun
What is your favourite moment in the history of sport? There have been so many great moments but one that stands out is Usain Bolt’s performances at the Beijing Olympics, setting 3 world records in the 100m, 200m and 4 x 100m relay….amazing.
Who has been the biggest influence on your sporting career? My family - It was my brother who got me started playing rugby and it was my mum and dad who took me to training sessions when I was younger and have supported me throughout my career.
Any family connections to sport? My brother played rugby for Scotland at age grade and has just been selected for the Scotland 7’s team.
Who has been your toughest opponent and why? Rupeni Caucau the Fijian winger, I was in my first year or so as a professional rugby player and he was probably the best winger in the world at the time when I played against him.

What is your biggest passion away from sport? I’m really into my gadgets and like having all the latest tech.
Favourite sport(s) other than your own? I enjoy most sports but football is probably my favourite other than rugby.
Top tips to relax? Invest in a good bed and a comfy sofa.
What is your ultimate ambition? I want to get back in the Scotland team, play in the world cup and win a trophy with Edinburgh.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time? Coaching rugby and maybe even still playing a bit too.
